Flipkart has suspended all its services right now. The company informed its customers by posting on the website. The company wrote, “Hello Fellow Indians, We are temporarily suspending our services. Your needs have always been our priority and our promise is that we will be back to serve you, as soon as possible. These are difficult times, times like no other. Never before, have communities stayed apart to stay safe! Never before, has been at home meant helping the nation! We urge you to Stay Home to Stay Safe! We will get there. And we will get through. Together.”
On the other hand, Myntra has also suspended its services. The e-commerce company wrote on its website, “In support of the PM’s announcement regarding the national lockdown, we are temporarily not accepting any new orders. We will inform you when we’re up again. Stay tuned fort updates and in the meantime, stay home and stay safe.”
Myntra has also asked its users to create a wishlist in the meantime.
The government decided to take this step in order to prevent the spread of the deadly disease in the country. Until now Indian has reported a total of 562 confirmed cases of the virus out of which 512 are active cases and 41 people have recovered from it.
