The government is providing ration as well as financial help to the poor and farmers of the country to help them cope with Coronavirus pandemic. Recently, the Finance Minister has also transferred Rs. 2,000 into the farmers’ account under PM Kisan Yojana, so that they can continue their work in this crisis. The Finance Minister in a tweet said that under PM-Kisan scheme, 9.13 crore farmers have been given Rs 18,253 crore. But if farmers haven’t received the money or amount has not reached their bank accounts then here is what they need to do.
According to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s tweet, since March 2020, 9.13 crore farmers across the country have been paid Rs 18,253 crore under Government’s ambitious PM-Kisan scheme during the lockdown. In addition, nearly 3 crore farmers have availed three months relief from repayment of agricultural loan instalments totalling Rs 4, 22,113 crore.
PM-Kisan: What to do if you did not receive money
Though maximum PM-Kisan beneficiaries have received the money but those who haven’t received Rs.2000 can talk to the Lekhpal (accountant) or District Agriculture Officer or directly contact agriculture department. How to Check your name in PM-Kisan List
- If you want to check your name in the PM-Kisan list, then you first go to the official website pmkisan.gov.in/
- Search for ‘Farmer’s Corner’ option on the home page.
- After this, click on the link of ‘beneficiary list’.
- Now enter your state, district, sub-district, block and village details.
- After filling this, click on Get Report and get the complete list.
Benefit of PM-Kisan Yojana
Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government transfers Rs 6,000 to the farmers’ account every year in three instalments. The first instalment of PM-Kisan (FY2020-21) has already been transferred to help farmers deal with the current crisis. Government said that it will soon release the second instalment also.
